SoulWeaves has been in the making since the early 2016 , a genuine labour of love born out of years of assiduous fabric research and planning.  From sourcing different fibers to recruiting weavers, the inception and creation of SoulWeaves has taken us to remote corners of India – from Leh to Karnataka, from Rajasthan to Bengal.

This way we ensure that products are unique and different from anything else available in the market.

In our experience we have found that our clients really appreciate the uniqueness of our collections as each and every product starting from Sarees, shawl, scarf and stole created by SoulWeaves is a product of meticulous crafting, ingenious weaving and painstaking detailing. Carefully sourced, lovingly handmade and ethically produced, SoulWeaves’ commitment to handloom revival ensures that each weave’s story is told.

The Founder

Alumni of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Hyderabad with a degree in Garment Manufacturing Technology, Swati Kapoor earned her stripes studying and working with fabric production and export management. This at a time when few women ventured into the rigours of a career in heavy production at massive textile factories.  

A short stint as a teacher of fabric science further established Swati’s interest in India’s textile history. Her transformation from a garment producer to the researcher and entrepreneur behind SoulWeaves has been a gradual, driven process. Swati brings to SoulWeaves a distil of everything natural, beautiful and enduring that Indian artisanal traditions have to offer. Swati’s solid grounding in the day-to-day practicalities of textile manufacturing has merged with her desire to bring authenticity and ethics to the process. The result is an enterprise run with stunning attention to detail. Whether it is using only certified Pashmina, or experimenting with traditional artforms to create unconventional sarees, or offering funding for part-time classes and hospital bills to the artisans at SoulWeaves, Swati’s vision is one of warmth and innovation, creativity and inclusion.
